Connect Vercel

Connect a Vercel team with an access token, import historical invoices, and keep collecting daily.

Before you connect

You need a Vercel account that can view invoices for the team you want to collect from. Check that the team’s invoices open in Vercel first. Billing access depends on your Vercel role and permissions; ask the team owner if you cannot see them. Vercel’s access-role guide explains these permissions.

kvitr uses a Vercel access token and Team ID. You do not need to keep a Vercel browser session open.

Create a Vercel access token

  1. Open the Account Tokens page in Vercel.
  2. Name the token so you can recognize it later, for example kvitr.
  3. Select the intended team as its scope. If Vercel shows a list of projects, choose All Projects for team scope. A single-project token cannot access team-level billing.
  4. Choose an expiration date and create the token.
  5. Copy the token while it is shown, then paste it into kvitr’s connection form.

A team-scoped token can grant broader access than invoice reading. kvitr uses it to retrieve billing invoices; Vercel controls its permissions. Keep the token private and replace it before it expires. See Vercel’s access-token documentation.

Find the Team ID

In Vercel, switch to the team whose invoices you want, open Settings → General, and copy its Team ID. Use the identifier beginning with team_, rather than the team name or a project ID. Vercel’s Team ID guide shows where to find it.

The token’s scope and the Team ID must refer to the same team.

Connect in kvitr

  1. Select the correct kvitr workspace.
  2. Open Suppliers, choose Connect a source, then Vercel.
  3. Enter a connection name, the API token, and the Team ID.
  4. Choose Connect. kvitr checks access before saving the connection and starting collection.

Your token is encrypted before it is stored and decrypted on the server when needed for collection. Read how connected-account data is handled.

Import historical invoices

The first collection uses the starting month chosen during workspace setup. To go further back, open Import historical invoices on the connection, choose a month, and select Import history.

Large histories arrive in batches and continue in the background. You can close the app. Repeating an import on the same connection skips invoices already collected.

Only invoices available to the connected team can be imported. Draft and void invoices are skipped. If an invoice’s PDF is not ready at Vercel, collection retries later.

Daily collection and reconnecting

After history completes, kvitr checks for new invoices about once a day. Choose Sync for another check. Signing out of kvitr does not stop this collection.

If the token expires, is revoked, or loses billing access, choose Reconnect and provide a valid replacement token with the same Team ID. This preserves the existing connection and history. To collect another Vercel team, add a separate connection.

For a missing invoice, check the selected workspace, Team ID, and starting month. Compare with the team’s Invoices tab in Vercel. Temporary provider errors retry automatically; a connection that needs attention may require reconnecting.
